Snap closure on RBK 6K pants leg zippers?

I just got some RBK 6K pants, and they have a snap closure at the bottom of the leg zippers to hold them in place during play.

I didn't see this mentioned in any threads, and a number of people complained that the zippers opened in play... is this a new feature added to the pants to address this issue?

That's a nice idea. I'd definitely prefer snaps as opposed to velcro on my CCMs.
