Hockey socks?

Sorry if this is an ignorant question (I am new to hockey), but how do you wear your socks to get them over the shin guard and inside the tendon guard? I play defense and have big shin guards that I wear over the tongue of my skates, do you tuck the bottom of the sock between the shin guard and the tongue? (Example: Marcel Hossa) I will try to attatch a picture of what I am talking about if I can figure out how to link it.

No clue, I just put the socks on, put the skates on, shins over the tongue. and pull the socks down over the shins. Socks are held up by velcro on the jock. They don't move at all.

I put the sock over the tounge and I cut a slit in the back of the sock so that the back of the sock can go inside the back of my skate without any tension.

i looked at an pic of hossa from getty. i do the same thing, just attach your shins, pull the sock over it and tuck all the leftovers inside. mine dosent come that long way down that it needed to be tucked, i've double folded it for a bit in the other end
