quick sharpening question

ive always sharpened my skates at 7/16 but i grew and now it bites to hard and i see my self working harder than needed. whats one step less sharp? if that makes any sense

It's basic math, buddy. The closer you are to 1 the shallower the hollow. In your case you want to go to 1/2"

FYI, the edges are always the same sharpness the depth of the hollow is what gives the illusion of a sharper cut.

If you want to make small increment change, you can do a 15/32"

Some sharpeners will do 15/32" which is just a little bit less bite. That may be enough. How much do you weigh?

if there the same sharpness how come they bite different. i way 165 though. im gunna try 1/2 inch today i think
