Blade pattern question

Hey all, how does the CCM Recchi curve compare to the Thornton curve? I'm currently using the Thornton curve but missed the boat in ordering a replacement blade. Now the only pattern left I think is close to the Thornton curve is the Recchi curve, but I'm getting some mixed information.

I'd like to pick up another vector v5.0 blade, how do the Recchi and Thornton curve compare in terms of depth of curve and lie? Thanks!

Not very close. Thornton is a big banana, Recchi is more a gentle mid. Thornton compares better to Yzerman or Coffey.

Thornton is also a 6 lie whereas Recchi is a 5.

Thanks for the replies. I found a Sher-wood 950 taper in a Coffey curve. I have seen the Sher-wood Coffey sticks before and the curve is similar, IIRC. Has anyone used the 950 taper blade? Should it fit an old Mission biomorphic Team Comp? Thanks again.

I find the recchi to be more of a lie of 5.25. It's similar to the Lindros and Iginla but with a square toe and neutral face.

The Coffey might work better for you or if you can find a yzerman. I think each of the curves are slightly different but they're the closest you'll find. The Coffey is a 5.5 and I think the Yzerman is a 6.

If you can find one, check out the M38 pro pattern from RBK. A buddy of mine who uses Thornton/Recchi exclusively picked up a pro-return one. It looks like a cross between the two.
