wallin2199 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2007 i dont think he'll have "problems". will he be as good as crosby who knows, but to say he will have problems could be a stretch. At 17, hes not as physically mature as NHLers and will undoubtedly gain more in his stride as he grows. Kids who can put the puck in the net arent very frequent so it should be fun to see his development over the next year or so
Viking 1 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 As an Ottawa Senators fan, I tend to not hold my breath when some kid smashes all the records, and scores a zillion goals in junior. I'm not too young to remember Alexandre Daigle.
epstud74 24 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 Daigle was a skilled and smooth skater (still is) just couldnt put it all together. There's more to being a hockey player than being fast. Mike Bossy wasnt a fast skater, but was a wizard at scoring goals. Look at Dino Ciccarelli..Some guys are just pure snipers, some are great all around playmakers. Does that count?
jptwofive 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 Off topic, but Daigle is not only a number 1 overall (which 99% of us will never be) he also can count Pamela Anderson as a notch on his bedpost (which maybe another 3% of us may have a chance at if you don't mind the hep!)
