I've used Sande gloves and they have simple and effective flex designs and nice palms. They're as good as any Eagles I've ever owned

I found them more comfortable (awesome palms) and much more protective than the X50's I have.

They are more comparable to Muskokas. They are (in general) more tight fitting. I havent used Sandes in years though. After the disaster I went through trying to get a pair 2 years ago I have been using Eagles exclusivley.

Didn't know you were still around, good to hear from you. Although getting the gloves was an ordeal, the end product was great. The build quality was fantastic, but the cut was just not for me. The "amazing" dangler I am requires a pair of loose fitting gloves ;). Didn't Sande have a loose fitting glove at one time, do you still?

I have a pair of the Max Pro's. The double trigger finger is great. Adds nicely to stick control. The sheep skin palm is very durable, soft feeling, and maintains its grip. Very light too.

I bought a pair of 980s back in 2002 that were great....a kid on the local college team bought them from me for use in his college league.

I have since bought a pair of Max-Qs off another guy here in the swap shop and love them....very light and protective.

I have MaxPros and I find them very loose (too loose for my liking actually). Excellent gloves otherwise.

I just received my Max-980's and all I can say is "Wow"! I haven't had a chance to wear them in a game situation yet but compared to my other gloves (Christian Torch and TPS Pro Response HG8) they are lighter yet have much more protection. For the price I paid for them, I couldn't believe the quality. For the league I play in, they're actually too good for me to wear weekly and would be better served for me to wear in travel tournament situations where the play can get chippier.

The MaxPros are an excellent glove,Awesome. Very light, yet extremely protective. Plus the trigger finger(s) are amazing.

How is the fit of the 980's?

I like a tighter glove, using a Synergy glove now that's on its last legs. Rbk 6k is probably my next glove (super tight), but the trigger finger thing sounds cool.

I'll have to make some calls to the local dealers...

i play roller hockey..so i am not sure how these gloves are in terms of breathe ability ? and do the palms get crusty?

thanks

I have the Pro model and have been using it in an indoor facility for the past several months. I've never had problems with breathability nor with the palms getting crusty. The gloves are loose so that helps in that respect.
