Jersey numbers

This is not going to be a thread about YOUR #'s, so relax. Im looking for some kind of list where i can see all the # from 1-99 and the players who wear a number. No matter if its a retired, active or "dodge"-nubmer (like wearing a #15, when #51 is already taken). Also, International and NHL.

1 - <Player>

2 - <Player>

...

99 - Wayne Gretzky

I hope, you guys get what i mean.

I know this one here, but another one would be cool as well.

So, you want EVERY #1 in the league...every #2 etc?

We had a thread a while back where I think we went through 1 or 2 times...started at 1 and went through the league identifying players who wore that number...not nearly as complete a list as your looking for...but a start.

I actually wish that was part of hockeydb's website. They already have lists of what number every player wore; why not have a search by number or a list of every player that has ever wore that number in pro leagues. Depending on how the database is compiled I would imagine that writing a script to make that searchable... it would be kinda neat.

Players who wore shirt/jersey # 69

Player Team/Season(s)

Mel Angelstad Washington Capitals 2003-04

Did Mel have a mullet and a huge beer gut, or is that only for the softball guys who wear #69?

Mel was called up for two games for the caps as a reward for being a good veteran leader down in portland for the prospects. It was the last 2 games he played for the Caps organization (did not return to portland).

HE played the following season for the Belfast Giants in Northern Ireland, and was well liked by the fans. I think he is with one of the other teams in England now.

He was a good career AHLer who knew he had no real shot as an NHL regular, and embraced the role as mentor to the kids in portland. For all the idiot things and moves the caps have done, it was a classy thing to give him his long awaited games in the big leagues, even if he wore # 69!!!

I wouldn't say he was a fan favorite, infact most people in Belfast were glad to get rid of him. He then went to Newcastle Vipers (the goons of the league) before retiring to become a fireman.
