Girdle vs. Pants

Just wondering if I can get some expert opinions about pants vs. girdle/shell combo. What are the functional differences and which one do YOU think is "better"?

I just bought a CCM Pro Ice Girdle, but I can't find a shell online! Can anyone help? I know there is a difference between a "pants cover" and a "girdle shell". I need a CCM Girdle Shell or equivalent in Large.

The last time I asked for advice as to where to find a certain product, a Hull pro-pattern replacement blade, the post was relocated to the Gear Exchange section, to which I do not have access, so I never saw it again, and really do not have a clue as to what had happened to it.

Greatskate have CCM shells... atleast in the catalouge.

Pants are better protection wise, but you have better mobility with a girdle..
