How to break in a new C/A

How do you guys break in your C/As

wear it in practices, and drop-ins... switch back to your old one for games (if it's during the season)..

Never tried it, but hockeygeeks suggests to steam the C/A to help "loosen up" the materials. If you happen to have a steam machine, great, or otherwise you can stick it in the shower.

I wouldn't stick it IN the shower.. but bringing it in the bathroom will expose it to steam.

Yeah, you know what I mean. Sticking it IN the shower would get it soaked...

What I did was put it on a clotheshanger and hung it on the shower curtain pole way at the other end of the shower. I don't generate enough steam to have an effect, though, so you've got to like hot showers for that method to work.

Sticking it in the shower wouldn't do anything, so if you bring it in the shower you won't break it or anything, it is just really dumb and useless. All you do is get it wet, but you get it wet all the time when you sweat.

Just bring it into the bathroom when you have a shower, but the C/A is really one of the hardest piece of goalies equipment to break in. IMO

I've had people say "Jump in the pool with it.." which I think it absurd... which is why I suggested simply exposing it to the steam.. not really wearing it in. No intent on offending or anything.
