I was in MTL a few weeks back at 4 glaces for a tourney and we had the cops escort us out, because in the game there was a fight, and the local team that it happened against, couldn't leave it on the ice. They tried to get into our room and beat us in the lot with bats, it was funny. The tournament was supposed to be called Weekend Recreational Hockey!

Seriously i can tell you it is rare that you will see that happen.Hope its a isolated incident because its plain stupid.We aint in the NHl for christ sake.I am sorry that happened to you and your team.We are not all like that here in quebec.

I have not been to Montreal in a long time. Is MacNiece's still in business down by the Forum? That was a good place to visit when the Habs were still playing at the Forum. Not a huge selection but kind of like Cosby's in NYC with the team tie-in back in the day.

damn, what level and against who did you play?

It was the 25-30+ (however that makes sense, if you are 30, then you are over 25!) We played against LaSalle, half of the team was fine but half of them were crazy, they had a guy throwing chairs at us from the seats when we were coming off of the ice.

The guys on the other team that were alright kept telling the other guys to quit, or they would be going to back to jail! They kept harrasing us all weekend and we approached the tournament organizers and their response was " Well, you messed with the wrong guys, they are nuts!"

It was quite a weekend!
