Nike Quest V9

I just picked up a pair of these brand new from eBay.

They were made in 2002 but never used- not even sharpened.

According to everything I read they sounded like a great fit- they are!

The fit I have been looking for!! Now for the question:

I want to skate them tonight( just a practise) so there won't be time for my LHS to profile them, just put an edge on them. Are these the standard 9' radius with balance on the heels?

Skated them last night - it was as I thought. I'll get them profiled by my LHS.

Hated not to get them from my LHS but they don't carry Nike skates.

Two more quick questions:

I'll be careful with the eyelets as I know they are prone to breaking, but if they do break can eyelets be replaced?

Is there a current Nike/NBH skate that fits like the Quest V9 so in the future I can replace them thru my LHS? I wear a 8 D.

Eyelets can be reapired by any shoe repair company.

The current NikeBauer flexlites "look" to be the same. Flexlite 18 is the old flexlite 10 and so on...

I've always liked the Nike skates. Incredibly comfortable, reasonably priced for the features they carry and they perform fairly decently on the ice. The durability isn't bad either. Only problem I find is their a little too high cut for my liking. Best part is I can buy them in the "D" width and have lots of forefoot and toe room. For someone who is not too much of a hockey fanatic and just likes to get out on the ice now and then, or just in a recreational hockey league they are perfect.
