Well if they are able to get a gun safe that is 30" deep by 48" wide by 60" tall and weighs 1200# empty up 2 flights of stairs out of my basement after unbolting (5/8 of an inch diameter grade 8 bolts cast into the floor)That are bolted on the inside of the safe, then I guess they will get it.......

About the only way you can pop a modern safe is if somebody has a plasma cutter- I doubt too many crackheads have one of those in their back pocket!

Damn thing cost me $500 US to get it moved into the basement!

Too bad when I am not home what weapons I keep out of the safe are religiously put back in the safe........

The Smith is on me at all times, regardless of where I go( OK I dont carry on the ice  ). Sorta like a seat belt- You pray you never need it but the one time you do................

Seriously people invest in a good safe-even if you live in an apartment-your average smash and grab thief will leave them alone, even if you just screw it to the floor.

The way I look at it the cost of the safe was equal to what one rifle cost me.

I have a buddy who is a security guy and he has an alarm I can have him put on the safe if somebody trys to move it- I might take him up on that.....

Bottom line- If they want it bad enough they will get it....

All we can do is slow them down as much as we can.

If somebody popped my house about the only really valuable things they would get would be the TV and Stereo. And I doubt if they would get too far-I have lived in the same house for 17 years and my neighbors and WE KNOW who is supposed to be at whose house when.

Heck they called the cops on my Brother-in Law when we were on vacation-he had come over to feed the dogs.

I do feel for folks that have gotten ripped though- It really sucks to bust your a@@ to buy the things you want then some punk comes and burns you for it.

I hope you get your gear back and if you need any shins or shoulders give me a yell-I have a few spares

I got most of my hockey gear stolen recently, and my MIA gloves were left as well. Guys won't want to take anything with your name on it, so I suggest you guys mark your stuff.
