Blisters from gloves

Recommended Posts

I'm getting blisters from a new pair of Easton Synergy Pros on the outside side of my index finger. I used a pair of Hespelers before and didn't have this problem. Do Synergies just fit really loose or something? Any remedies to suggest?

I had a similar issue with my Easton gloves. I cut a piece of mole-skin (like hikers use for blisters) about 3/4 of inch wide and 2 inches long and covered the inside seam on the index fingers. It fixed the problem right away. You can probably get mole-skin at your local drug store.

To have actual BLISTERS means the obvious: the glove dont fit, you must aquit!!

I'd say sell them and get a different pair of gloves. All hands are made differently and you may fit CCMs or NBHs better

that tacks are looser, more traditional. The Vectors are slightly looser than the supremes. Easton is inbetween the two(shorter fingers than either). The SDPs are loose.

Bauer or Nike/Bauer? I believe I addressed them with "supremes" and "SDP" :)

If you're talking about Vapors: XV and XX are tighter fitting, a little looser than the supremes. The XXXs are about the same in the fingers and a bit looser than the XV and XX in the palm but have a HUGE flaired cuff, they feel like a loose fitting glove but aren't really.

I had the same problem with a pair of Easton Pro's as well, although it didn't really start happening until about a month's use which was sort of odd.. needless-to-say they have become my backup pair! this is happening on your top hand, correct?

Ooops. My bad, I missed that.

Top hand, used the glove for 5 weeks now. Same thing!

I might sell them for the money. Why do you keep them as backups?

I would say TBL fan is right on with his description of XX gloves. To me it feels like they have a loose cuff, but the palm is tight enough that it doesnt flop around or whatnot.

Go with another brand of gloves. With Easton it seems to be the equipment fits you or it doesn't. I have had a lot of guys throw their nose up in the air when they look at my equipment and ask me how I can wear that garbage. These are all THC and Nike/Bauer users and I personally don't mind either brand either. The thing is Easton equipment works for me. It's light and protective and what I prefer. But Easton equipment won't work for everyone so it your having problems you may be best to find out which brands work for you and stick to them.

The older eastons(a couple years ago) had seams that hurt my thumb, the newer ones don't have that issue. I think easton just had a weird fit that bothered some people(smaller fingers were, of course, very noticeable), but I believe that with these new eastons they have expanded their fit range to fit a larger variety of players comfortably.

Yes the newer synergy gloves have longer fingers but as I mentioned before I still go up to a 15 inch from a 14 inch to get the same comfort level as I would have in a pair of Vapors,CCM or RBK gloves. Eastons gloves are without a doubt very light but I do argue the point they are the most protective in the game. Their are a few brands out there that are built like tanks that hold their own against Easton.

Okay. I can't narrow it down cause I recently got new gloves and switched to an intermediate-sized shaft. Is it the bigger glove or narrower shaft giving me the blisters?

I'd like to know for sure so I can decide whether to ditch my Eastons for something tighter fitting.
