changing tongues on 9k's

Does changing to a bauer tongue affect the pump in any way? Does it change the fit of the skate?

i dont know about him, but on my 9k's it seems as the tounge isnt quite wide enough to wrap around my foot and find its way back into the boot, ive been considering getting the tounges at EWH and having them swapped.

No, the tongue has nothing to do with the pump.

you could try college shoe repair in ann arbor. they do great work.

Yeah i was thinking about swapping out my tongues on my 9k's aswell. They are plenty wide they just seem way too thin and taking shots off of the top of the foot is awful...

sounds good, ill look into that when i actually have some money around to get the tongues, anyone know off the top of their head how much it costs to do the swap? i wouldnt imagine much but im not right all that often

On my last pair of skates, the tongues wore through so they put another layer of felt under the original tongue. It was about the same thickness of felt and they did it for $20 a skate. The shop that did it is known for ripping people off, but it was a last second thing and no time to go anywhere else.

if you send your one90's to nike to add felt...

they're gonna' use spray adhesive and a white felt that you can get at any craft store!

get a dollar worth of felt, stick it where you want it, and play hockey.

if it works... glue it in.

if not... try something else.

I had the EW Hockey tongues put on my Eastons. Think it ran about $20 at a shoe repair shop. Turned out well! PM me if you want to see pics...

how does it work when you put a whole new tongue in? this is if you bought it off of EWH for example
