I had a game last night, but will catch it on the abc website as soon as I can.

I watched last week's episode yesterday afternoon and am ready to see how Charlie gets out of his mess (or see how the writers will find *another* way to make the show drag on).

I'm a LOST nerd so I watch the episodes a few times to catch things. I loved the Flash Forwards instead of the Flashbacks, hopefully they'll do this more in the future seasons.

The name of the Funeral Home (Hoffs/Drawler) is actually an anagram for Flash Forward.

The person who died name begins with a J (all you can make out from the newspaper clipping), so it's either James (Sawyer), Juliet, John, Jin or some random new character.

The name actually is "Jeremy Benthem", but i dont think its Ben. Its neither John Locke nor Juliet. Its either a new character we dont know yet or an alias of a character. The world thought they died and when they got back, they got new names and stuff (explains why Kate is free instead of being in prison).

Where did you get the name Jeremy from? Every image I've seen of the paper has J and then a fold so you can't see anymore.

Google Jeremy Benthem

Oh, and Sven, I doubt it's Juliet. The article does mention it's a man. Unless you know something that I don't :o

In coincidences that only Lost could come up with:

Jeremy Bentham was a philosopher of the empiricist school of the 18th century. Interestingly, the two main other empiricist philosophers at this time were John Locke and David Hume. They argued against the rationalist thought school which included the likes of Descartes, Spinoza and Liebniz.

Jean Jacques Rousseau was also a philosopher at the end of the 18th century.

So there's presumably Ben, Rousseau, Locke and Desmond's full name is Desmond Davide Hume.

I just finished watching. The flash-forward was unexpected. The very end was totally unfulfilling, but I'm hooked and will still be watching whenever it starts back.

And if this mention of Bentham leads to that English college where his body sits in on board meetings, I'm going to throw a plastic cup at my TV and then go yell at the professor who told me about this last semester.

I stand by my assertion: Allusions to dead 18th-century utilitarian theorists have no place in the scripts of prime-time American network television.

mack: Good eye on the dead philosophers.

Yeah, the phone gave me the first hint to think about the flash forward. This flashy Razor thing was NO coincedence.

Ah, I thought you said "either". My first thought was Ben.

My wife and I thought/think it's Ben too. When asked 'friend or family' and Jack replies 'neither', it makes sense...

I was travelling this week so finally watched the show last night on DVR.

I'm not convinced the flash forward isn't just some sort of 'dream' sequence that we will find out doesn't happen for a long long time.

There's no way they can start the show off next year with them off the island and everyone trying to live their lives back in the US or wherever. I wouldn't watch that show. It was hard enough watching Jack be such a dickhead.

My thought is that it is Penny's dad that was somehow behind this whole 'find the island, kill the inhabitants' thing and it's his ship just off the island. Maybe he has heard rumors about this island and it's magical benefits so he's trying to use it for his own gain somehow.

I thought I read recently that they're extending this show to 2010 before they end it so they've got a long way to go on the island and plenty of more mysteries to reveal. I hope that nobody gets truly rescued and taken off the island for a long time.

Anyone think Michael will be coming back ever? I totally forgot about Walt until he showed up and helped Locke.

My first thought was that next season would be Jack and whoever else trying to get back to the island and having flashbacks of what happened from the time he made the call to when they got off the island.

But really, it could be a dream sequence or alternate future or any number of things.

My thought is that it is Penny's dad that was somehow behind this whole 'find the island, kill the inhabitants' thing and it's his ship just off the island. Maybe he has heard rumors about this island and it's magical benefits so he's trying to use it for his own gain somehow.

Penny's and Sun's fathers both have ties to Dharma, but Penny's dad does sound more plausable.

I'm guessing that there will be less days passed per season. So while there are 3 seasons left (although short seasons), I can't see there being more 40+ days passing like in the first season.

I read that Michael declined to make a "cameo" along with Walt in the season finale... so I would guess no.

I got this off a message board from abc's website someone posted on what the article actually says. I dont know where this person got it from or if its all made up or what but i thought it was worth posting:

"The body of John Lantham of New York was found shortly after 4 am in the 4300 block of Grand Avenue.

Ted Worden, a doorman at the Tower Lofts complex, heard loud noises coming from the victim’s loft.

Concerned for tenants’ safety, he entered the loft and found the body hanging from a beam in the living room.

According to Jaime Ortiz, a police spokesman, the incident was deemed a suicide after medical tests. Latham (sic) is survived by one teenaged son.

Memorial services will be held at the Hoffs-Drawlar Funeral Home tomorrow evening."

I just finished watching. The flash-forward was unexpected.

Really? Cause I thought the phone was a dead giveaway.

I'm about to give it another go. When I was watching last night, I was eating dinner with a friend at the same time and it wasn't until well into the flash-forward that she pointed it out to me. I wasn't paying close attention, so I'll chalk it up to that.

I recall hearing something from the producers saying they wanted to end the show before there'd be a possibility of a forced exit from the TV schedule. Depending on how much money ABC's making on this, that might not be for a while.
