Mission Z-2 Tapered Blades

Recommended Posts

I've never really tried out Mission's stick products but I got a few Z-2 tapered blades that I'm going to try out.

I'm wondering, have the Z-2 blades ever been sold alone without the Z-2 shaft either online or in pro shops? The only other times I have seen them is bundled with the shafts...

Also, does anyone know if the Z-2 is the same as the tapered Zedcore Blade which Mission is selling this season:

Mission Zedcore Blade

Has anyone used them before? I'm trying them out primarilly because the Leopold II (Hossa) curve looks close enough to the neutral-mid curve sort of patterns I like (Sundin, Afinagenov, Thornton) but if the performance is there I might stick with it. Thanks!

Just bumping an old thread I never got an answer on. I'm curious if anyone has used the Zedcore blades from Mission. How do they stack up against other composite blades... puck feel, low torque, etc?

Thanks!

i play with the toxic ops. the blade has decent feel and isnt bouncy at all. stiffness wise its nothing to write home about, but for the price is pretty solid.

i was playing open hockey with a buddy yesturday. he gave me his XXXlite (similar curve and flex i use) and after a couple of shots i went back to the toxic. the shape of the shaft sat better in my hand and i didnt think the blade was that much softer. the weight is noticible but well balanced. the Z-1, from what i remembered, was pretty crappy in terms of pick-up weight and balance, so they might have changed the sauce.

I've got a couple of the blades from a friend....not a great friend to give me those things...

They've got no soul.

Very orange though...for those that care about color.
