Ive lived in manchester for my 16 years of life. Its the biggest city in nh without a doubt. We got the verizon wireless arena that is home to the manchester monarchs of the ahl they made it to the calder cup fianls this year so its not bad hockey, and we have a doubleA baseball team who is affiliated with the bluejays. we also have the two public rinks the jfk and west side ice arena, both pretty old rinks but rich with hockey history. There are also numerous amounts of rinks within the greater manchester area like hookset and nashua so there are plenty of beer leagues if your interested. The living is pretty good we have fairly hot summers where it can get in the 90s and winters that can get really cold. For education wise there are three public highschools and two private. Memorial high is where i go its for the south and eastend and auburn, central high is inner city and northend and candia, west high is for the west side and bedford but they are making their own school soon. its definetly easy to stay busy in this city theres plenty to do

don't forget a Pure Hockey located right in tax free Nashua, NH!!

I must say i was impressed with the store when i was there, it was huge compared to what we have here in Nova Scotia. Lots of selection, and very friendly staff. It was always quiet when we were there as well.

I've never been disappointed, until this time of year...I keep popping into Braintree to see the new stuff, and no dice. I'm assuming their main location gets all the new product first? New product aside, their selection is still top-notch over anything my area has to offer.

They do however get lots of pro stock sticks in late Spring/early Summer, and I'm looking forward to going to their tent sale in August for the 1st time (glad I got the job a few months before the tent sale ;) )

i live more in central NH, just a little bit north of the manch. I think the biggest upside to NH has to be the no sales tax thing. Many people think we're a bunch of hicks up here and sure, in some regions we get pretty hickish but we're not all that bad. If you're coming to new hampshire, southern is the way to go by far.

Hey. I just graduated from Southern New Hampshire University which is located in Manchester, NH. I honestly must say that I love the area there. Everyone is so nice and there is always a lot to do. I'm not being racist but there is an overwhelming white population there, probably close to 95%.

Also, the area is huge into hockey since the Monarchs are there. Everyone and I mean everyone is a hockey fan. There are plenty of rinks in the area. Look into playing at the Ice Den (That's where my school played).

There's plenty to do for nightlife in Manchester. All you have to do is drive down Elm street (The busiest street in the city) and there are 3-5 big bars...Strangebrew, The Black Brimmer are the big ones for college students.

It's a great area to raise your family with a ton of schools and overall is just a great place to live. Also, you have the Mall of New Hampshire there and if you don't want to live directly in a city, look into living in Hooksett, NH. That's the next town over from Manchester. Literally, a 5 minute ride and you are in downtown Manchester.

Also, you are within an hour to just about anything you could want. You can get to Boston in under an hour which is awesome. They are constantly upgrading the city with new things.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Just spent the last four years of my life there. I highly recommend it and I wouldn't mind living back in that area someday.
