kingjames23rulz 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2007 I have a white Bauer 5000. I want to drill new holes in spots like a RBK helmet. The holes are for where you have to snap your cage to ur helmet. Any help on how to drill the holes or if it will work? Thanks
trevor13478 1 Report post Posted June 8, 2007 i don't see why it wouldn't work, i can't really comment on how it would affect the durability but i would assume it wouldn't be all that good for it. This would also without a doubt void any warranty on the helmet if you are concerned about that.

sniper44 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2007 I'm not sure why you would want to drill holes, aren't there holes there already?

trevor13478 1 Report post Posted June 8, 2007 you would just have to make sure that you didn't make the hole too big, so that the normal snap fixture would fit.

joshy207 15 Report post Posted June 9, 2007 It's not the warranty you have to worry about, it's the HECC certification.

Ngo_35 1 Report post Posted June 9, 2007 If you want it tight then move the clips close to the cage. But if you really insist on drilling for for it. Maybe use a smaller drill bit and work your way up until a post will fit. But you will void the certification so I dont recommend it.
trevor13478 1 Report post Posted June 9, 2007 you could pick up a 4k for much cheeper than an 8k and get the same look if thats an option for you
