Bauer endure sticks

Recommended Posts

Anyone else think these things are incredibly stiff?

I've got a couple 77 flexes that feel like 90's. My Montreal woodies flex way easier when new. I think my old Vapor XX 87 was easier to flex as well...

One odd thing I found:

tx.backstom.frolik.jpg

Looks like Backstrom is using either an Endure or a Vapor VIII.

what's so odd about that? There are many players in the SEL that prefers the endure over one90's and xxxlite's. The picture that you found is from the 2006 junior world's. Last season Backstrom used a one90

Does anyone know the weight of the Endure? I referenced an NBH catalog, but there was no weight listed.

They're nice looking sticks, and most of the reviews seem to have been positive.

I want to say mine is listed at 445 but I think the full length ones are 475. Mine's a shorter intermediate though. They are heavier than One90/XXX/etc but they are lighter than Synergy 350/Vapor VIII/etc. Well balanced though.

I like it at $60. At $100, I might look at other closeout sticks or put the money towards a shaft/blade combo.

FYI, I turned one of these into a shaft. You have to cut about an inch above that "ISS" logo, above the end of the blade hosel. Couldn't pull the blade out or even chisel out the hosel.

Ended up with a tapered shaft and lost close to 4" of length. Put in a wood plug and it's working great. It actually flexes more now than before I cut it and shoots great. Hopefully it'll make a great backup shaft for quite a while.
