RussianPlayer 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2007 Hi guys,I'm looking into getting one or another model. I heard that RBK pumps break easy. Also that RBK is kind of tilted forward more than usual.Anyone has a feedback on these skates? Thanks
TBLfan 25 Report post Posted June 15, 2007 they fit completely different, but I hear that fit and comfort isn't really THAT important when buying skates.
chk hrd 164 Report post Posted June 15, 2007 Hi guys,I'm looking into getting one or another model. I heard that RBK pumps brake easy. Also that RBK is kind of tilted forward more than usual.Anyone has a feedback on these skates?ThanksI've had my 9k's for close to a year with no pump problems. I skate 2 times a week. My son used 5k's for a year with no pump problems, he skates 3 or more times a week.
Fredrik 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2007 They both have the same neutral pitch, same holders and steel (E pro). The RBK's are a wider and deeper fit when compared to the Vectors. As for the pupms braking, not much that I've heard of. Except for elite level play.
RussianPlayer 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2007 Thanks, same thing I hear about fit. RBK is more for a wider foot.I read online about pump braking up and heard from couple of people in a shop.Maybe they already fixed that issue... I think CCM 10 se would be a good long lasting skate for me.
ashtonhutch05 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2007 I'm getting the Se, so I'll give some feedback on it when they come in if you want. Don't know how long that will be though.

ashtonhutch05 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2007 Sorry, I had to postpone getting them, as I bought a kronik instead. I will probably get them in a few weeks though, or at leats order them by then. Hopefully. I'm really anxious to try them.
RussianPlayer 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2007 I did try 10 SE out. They feel lite, nice fit for foot. However, after first game I saw metal lace hole holders( those holes where laces go through) already bent on both skates right under where the lock is. I also can tell that blade holders are soft. The plastic on them seems to be softer than regular- maybe because they tried to make them more lite? Over it feels like a good skate, but now I'm not sure about its durability.Anyone else has any comments on vector 10se?

I skate on Vector 6.0s and the RBK's I tried on were as shallow a boot that I have ever tried on. Does it vary w/ model?
Fredrik 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2007 Yes, the RBKs are more of a high volume skate when compared to the Vectors, which are a shallower fit. They also have the wider midfoot feature, to suit people with higher insteps. Alhough the 07 Vector line is a bit deeper fitting when compared to the previous line of Vectors, they are still shallower than the RBK:s.

Looks is all that's important when you're buying skates... In which case the V6.0s (blue) should be the best ;) In all honesty, just go to your shop and try them on. That's the only way you'll know which skate fits your foot better.

Ti-girl 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2007 I wear the RBK 9Ks and have had them for a year now...I wear them 3-4 times a week and haven't had a problem with the pumps at all...and I have a really narrow heel...And I added a heel lift because I found the pitch too neutral.
