Maybe i'll try those suggestions with the pad. I noticed the 6Ks (and 4Ks) don't look like they have that pad on top (or it's smaller).

I just looked at the RBK 6k.....anybody know what the loop at the top is for?

you hang the shinpads up on a hook so they can dry faster..
