Tapered blade length question

From what I see online, the VDS blade seems shorter than the synthesis blade (Hosel length). Is this true? If it is, the mission has an unbelieveably short hosel. Is the Vds the shortest?

I have also realized that Mission has had some of the shortest hosels. And I am pretty sure the VDS hosel is actually shorter than the Synthesis after comparion them in-store trying to find a blade for my "V-Hex2".
