Best Mid to Upper Mid Range Shorts these days..

Recommended Posts

Hi

What are the best shorts for the money these days please. I probably don't need the very best but don't mind doing that if it pays.

Thanks

Simon

if you were stay with the tackla 951s are a great pant or an RBK 5K pant and the missions are also nice because the kidney pads can be adjusted on mid-high ones i believe

Soquaduch is absolutely correct. The Tackla 951 or 5K's are a good bet. Also take a look at the CCM 692 , Itech 6600 or the Easton Synergy S-5's in about the same price range. All of these are great choices.

They're old stock (not really all that old, like some of the stuff on there), but hockeyworld had some jofa 5000's for like $39.99 I think. I bought a pair and they're great as far as protection/fit. Good deal I thought

What about the RBK 6K - what do I get for the extra money and is it worth it?

Thanks for the replies so far.

More protection, especially in the tailbone. IMO Rbks are the best pants on the market right now, offer the best mobility and protection (have a pair of 8Ks myself).

I really like the Easton S-5's...fantastic protection and durable. My only complaint is that they do not feature adjustable thigh pads.

The 6K's would be an even better choice than the 5K's. But in my opinion take a real good look at those Tacklas because the fit is phenominal with some pretty decent protection.

ive worn tackla for along time and i still use and love them but the RBK pants almost got me away because they fit I find just like a tackla in the waist but the legs the RBK is abit roomier.

Do your Jofas fit true to size ? I'm looking for a backup pair (in Tackla 951s) and am a 36" waist.
