06 Stealth vs. SE

Hi guys just a quick question on easton sticks. Im looking for a replacement for my 05 stealth and have decided to go with either the SE or the 06 Stealth. I previously had an 06 Stealth but it was the grip version which I couldn't adjust to due to the tackiness of the grip. I have just returned from the UK and got a chance to actually hold the SE in my hands. I like the boxy shaft and it feels very similar to my 05 Stealth with I liked a lot. However, I am hesitant to buy it due to its association with the SL, which I broke after 3 uses. I here that the SE is an improved model but has Easton addressed the durability issues? Also, is the Stealth regarded as easton's top stick even after the arrival of the SE? Thanks again.

I'm pretty sure the Stealth is their number one stick due to it being a True-One Piece (I think it is) and the SE is still a fused one piece.

se is the same shaft as the SL, but the blade is reenforced in the key breakage places, such as the heel. they moved the thickness of the materials around to increase the durabilty of the blade. also they used a new method to fill the blade, they use a method that doesnt let any air bubbles to get into the blade so it is strong.

the stealth kicks lower than the SE, so depending on your style, one stikc would be better than the other

I dont like bashing stuff but i speak by experience.Go with the 06 cnt stealth.I almost never break OPS and i wnet trew my 3 stick from the toy drive of easton in a 3 to 4 month span.Either it was a bad batch or its really weak.But my brother and brother in law are both on there last SE and they are like me not hard (no slashing and trowing of stick) on stick and they are both on there last one (on 3 stick each)

It's not a "true" OPS but it's as close as most of them get.

The '05 stealth is my favorite stick I've ever used, and I've tried the CNT Stealth, though not the SE. From my experience, I hated the CNT Stealth. I had no feel, and I would go to deke and the puck would fly off my blade. Same exact length stick and same exact curve as my 05 stealth. Another guy on my team coming from the 05 had the same exact problem. I will say that my wrist and snap shots were better with the CNT, but the fact that I couldn't really get a chance to use them in a game made the stick pretty useless to me

yeah, i've been looking everywhere for some 05 stealths in modo or iggy but all i can find is the gaboriks on hockey monkey

Go with the stealth i feel they are tougher then the SE in my experience. the SE feels really thin to me

LHS, it was the last one they had. I went in prepared to bite the bullet and pay the full price for it but they had marked it down sometime after my last visit to the shop.

There is another shop near me that has some pro stock ones, I don't recall what the patterns were like.

At my LHS they have about 15 of the 05 models
