I play D and am poor so something that will last is what I want.

Ive never actualy used a tapered shaft/blade combo but when I felt the SynergyII at the LHS it felt like it would crack more easily compared to the warrior ak-27, bauer one90 or easton ultra light.

Are the normal shafts stronger since they are not trying to simulate a OPS.

Idk about your question, but the ak-27 has held up great for me. It's not tapered I know, but it still performs great. I haven't really used many tapered shafts so I can't really help you with that aspect, but ehh...

I liked the feel of my synergy ST but I feel that a shaft/blade combo is more economical because I have had my easton typhoon for four years now. Blades are cheap and easy to replace every 4-6 months.

I guess my question is are any of the above mentioned sticks known for either being weak or super durable?

I've only used the Dolo out of the ones you mentioned and it's been a tank and hasn't lost noticeable amounts of flex on it either. That said, if the Syn II is anything like the old Synthesis line then it's solid too as those held up well for me.

I liked the synthesis but I didn't feel as though the synergy II was the same. It didn't feel as sturdy... I've heard that they changed more than just the name but I'm not sure. Maybe my synthesis was based on the 05 synergys and the newer synergy II is based on the SL. Again, I'm not sure of the differences.

But I agree, if the Synergy II is like the Synthesis; it is a tank. I have found other sticks I like more but the Synthesis is still one of my favorites.

I snapped 2 dolos in about 5 months, admittedly they werent whilst taking shots, but, i would have epected them to lasted through those incidents.
