what kinda of hockey you trying to play... cuz none of those will hold up long in a high end league, those are all basically the knock-off versions of each pro pad

ive been looking everywhere. and ive only found them in a store in like michigan. not on the net. and dont you think KNOCK OFFS is a bit harsh? ... theyre just the model under pro. 600 bucks is my limit. and both TPS pads are pro, the eagles are pro, and the Vaughns. the others are just "semi pro"

The Vaughn's aren't a pro-level pad.

Knock-off is spot on for what most companies do with their senior pads. They look like the pro-level gear but, almost without exception, are made off-shore and don't have the same durability.

Okay, do you need to get spec (ie 11 inch pads) or not? If you do, or will in the near future, then wouldn't it be better to get that now? Also, you can get a pro-level and spec pad for under $900US as I've explained in one of your other threads.

Shouldn't be a complaint if your playing goalie...should be expected :D

Honestly, if you say your grown and won't be needing pads for a while. Just spend the money and get the higher level gear so you won't be replacing them two years down the line or whatever with the ones you listed. Unless you wanna go bargain hunting on eBay or GSBB or something.

Those arn't NHL sizing which is why they've been cheap lately...so if you were worried about that, don't get them.

And don't get them just cause they cool looking or whatever as lotta people say you wanna try on Vapors (as with any other pads too) cause there's lots out there that they are kinda unqiue and funky fitting. I haven't tried them before as I haven't seen any around but just a tip...

this is dumb above

id go for the tps pro's

the infinitys

or the 8k's which i think is the best deal same pad as pro except made in china go figure. if they didnt say 8k on them to the untrained eye these pads would be very similar if not the same.

well, my suggestion if you can only spend 600$ would to go on ebay and just look around at the different pads. I recomend staying away from 12" pads just simply becasue you won't be able to wear them in the near future. If you want price-point pads, that are pro spec I belive that the Vaughn Vault is, and sells for about 600$. Also, the TPS Xceed 2 don't seem like to great of a pad, i've been to alot of goalie stores and i've never sceen them once, only on that one website. Eagle pads are good, but over you pricerange. Theres my input, its really your choice.
