Eagle X50 vs. Eagle x6

Recommended Posts

I was just looking for some insight about the gloves. Mainly pros, cons and differences. Also does anyone know what palms they come with if you do not custom order them.

Thanks

Patterns are pretty much the same. X50 was Made In Canada and X3/X4/X5/X6 is Made In China and cannot be custom ordered.

X50 came with a Clarino palm while the X3/X4/X5/X6 come with a material called MSH1.

The palm that I feel is outstanding, however, is the MSH2 material that comes on the X72. I tested this material with two 1st line NHLers this year and it blew us all away in both performance and durability.

One of the two players likes only a single layer palm and initially, we were very worried about what the durability might be because the MSH2 is soooooooo thin. 30 games (and countless practices later), the player was STILL using the same gloves with NO holes or tears!

Wow, very impressive. I love my x-50s, in fact I just recently started using other gloves... although I've had one90 gloves for almost a year.

I have an early pair of x5's. I ordered a second pair and they are a much tighter glove. Do you think is because of a change in the pattern or the material used? The second pair has the eagle logo embossed on the palm.

I agree on the MSH2 palms.. I tried some PPF X72's at work that are pure MSH2 and they are absolutely money though I think I still prefer Digital.

love my X50 because of the one piece finger. Perfect gloves in my mind.

Can't find another pair of gloves on market now that has one piece finger :-(
