RBK version of the Forsberg curbe

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Looking for help from someone in the know. I'm looking to pick up a O. I used a Forsberg Stealth tonight and lvoed it. What's the RBK version? Is it the Crosby?

Easton Forsberg was originally Easton Modano. RBK Modano is the same curve and I believe it will become Crosby this fall after Crosby's Sher-Wood contract expires.

I think it is funny how sherwood tries to sell these new ops and crosby is there main guy and how they show pics of him using that old wood black stick with sherwood on it to try and sell new one's. Doesn't make much sense to me.

What's the difference between the Modano and Crosby for anyone that's seen it? I've had a look at the blade pattern @ RBKHockey and they look real similar.

Retail crosby's are bigger then the Modano.

If you've seen a retail RBK Crosby, Sher-wood would like to have a word with you.

Hes still under sher-wood contract, so hed be breaking his contract

No, it would mean RBK would be the one in trouble, not Sid.

I don't think he read the whole thread and just assumed you meant Crosby as in the Sherwood heel curve pattern

I'm sure that's the case, but I try to give people credit and assume they read the actual posts and not make meaningless, random comments.

Ah actually I did read it. Sorry I just remembered seeing this on hockeymonkey and got it mixed up with the Sherwood pattern. Sorry my mistake .

where do they get the numbers for their patterns. For example the corsby pattern is P87, 87 is his number, i get that. But datsyuk's pattern is p33, and Phanuef's is P32, or something like that.

thats actually a pretty good question, some players patterns are the same as their numbers but some arent. i honestly have little to no idea

Most of them are pattern numbers that have existed for years... PM9, etc. I'm guessing RBK is making an exception with anything bearing the name "Crosby", henceforth dubbing it "P87" since anything involving the kid has market value.

that makes enough sense, current players could always use patterns that players before them used
