Salming F1 vs. Mission S400

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Just wondering, for those of you that have worn these skates, can you tell me some of their pros and cons, and which one would you take, if they are virtually the same price?

Thanks loads!

Whatever fits your foot. I have owned a pair of F1s and they were by far the widest boot I have even worn (probably too wide). I cant fit my feet into missions.

I've loved my F1's since day one. Comfortable and have held up well for the last year and a half. T'blades are a love em hate em thing. I love em. Not as light as my old bauer XXX but they are a much better skate IMO.

As mentioned the F1s are wider and fit larger. I'm a 10EE in mission and a 9.5D in Salming. Missions are a lower cut and the supplefit concept is very different from a traditional boot like the Salming.

Wow, that's a big difference. What exactly is the supplefit concept on the Mission skates?

Like Chadd said these two are about as different as you can get, so I can't compare the two since I don't come close to fitting in Missions. But I have been very happy with my Salmings, and just recently bought two more pairs from SalmingUSA. They are very deep and wide, with a wide heel. They are the best fit for my foot that I have found in stock skates. Very good value for the closeout price as well. So I would recommend giving them a shot if your foot is like mine, but if you can wear Missions, chances are you won't be happy with the F1's.
