So, I was working the penalty box for the caps rookie

One of the guys who plays in our charity games is a former GM of the anchorage aces, paisley pirates (in the UK) and a caps training camp coach.

So, for the final day of rookie camp, they have a full game. He asked me to work the penalty box, pretty simple, open the door to let them in and out on penalties.

However, being in there, was pretty cool. You hear the refs interact a bit more, and when players are in the box, they tend to talk. Some were "that was a stupid call" types, other were more involved. One of them, in the box, saw the PP develop a breakaway with about 15 seconds to go in his penalty, and he was standing up saying "shit, thats on me, shit shit" until the goalie stopped it.

Anyway, it was really cool to witness, then after, Dean Evason and Jay Leach popped down to Rock Bottom for a couple.

Rookie camp is cool to get to see the inside of the way a camp runs, if you can.

Bouchard, Hunt & Ruth

All 3 to me were fantastic on the ice. Also, Victor Dogvan isn't that big, but is smart, and has a bit of a mean streak, I liked him.

Joe Finley is 6'7'', 6'10'' in skates, skates well, makes good decisions, and has a nasty streak.

He is going back for 1 more year of college, but if he makes the show, he will be a force to be reckoned with, and is massive

Nice story, as far as i know you are a true Caps fan so thats pretty nice to "work" for the company and experience stuff which the normal fan does not. Try to get "a feet into the doorstep" and work for them/him more often!
