Tackla 55 Silver Pants

Has anyone ever purchased these? I've seen them on a few websites, but they aren't listed on the Tackla home page products.

Are these SMU's? or similar to some other pant design? How would these compare against 9000's?

Any (absolutely any) info would be appreciated.

They are lower than the 9000 and the lowest "professional" models according to Tackla. It's a US model that has been discontinued and replaced by the EXPP 55 pants.

The product that is coming to the US is an import model, and not necessarily the same as far as fit and quality (my experience).

Exactly right - if you're looking for the traditional Tackla quality, stay away from these. I sold them at my previous store and plenty of broken belts/buttons.

I have a pair, used them for only a couple months then got my hands on a pair of XXX-lites. Now they sit in my basement.

They were ok, just ok, and I was coming from an older pair of tacklas and wanted to stay with them, but def was a different feel than traditional tacklas.
