XXXX?

Recommended Posts

My XXX's are pretty beat up and I need a new pair.

I'm pretty shure that I want the XXXX's.

My questions is :

How do you get white tounges on them? Can you customize a skate? Can the LHS do this normaly?

Thanks for the help!

Buy white tongues and have them sewn on or ask your LHS what the mark-up is for a custom skate ordered through NBH. If you go that route, there are many other options available as well.

Nice. Do you know where I could buy them at?

Also for customs, what other options do they offer?

Thanks

The subject of custom skates is one that has been discussed exhaustively. I suggest using the "Search" function; you'll find what you're looking for.

There are two different types of custom orders you can do with NBH

1.)If you know what size you need (length and width) then you can just order the boot that way and pick from the custom options

2.)The second way is to go to your LHS and go through the long and exhausting custom boot fitting system. This way involves several measurements, type of arch you have, width, length, and a few others i cant think of off the top of my head. This way is meant if you want a true boot created for your exact foot measurements and not just a stock boot.

Heres a list of the following custom options i can think of

Tongue material

Inside boot lining

boot stiffness

tuuk or ls2 holders

prob a few more i cant think of right now!!!

You didn't search, did you?

The up-charge usually depends on the shop. Typically, you can expect to pay somewhere from $60 to $100 on customs, depending on how much they charge you on top of the manufacturer's fees.

Customs are worth the money if you're looking to get yourself into a skate that doesn't fit your foot as well as you would like it to. If stock XXXXs fit your foot well right out of the box, there would be no point in dropping the extra cash.
