thefelixculpa 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2007 Does the z-bubble paired with the short hosel Easton ST standard blade transform it into the equivalent of a tapered shaft/blade combo???I only ask this because this is the combo I use right now but I am really interested in purchasing a tapered shaft...I am torn between the easten synergy II or the nbh xxx lite. tips09 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2007 personally i love the synergy II that and the st are my favorite sticks. paired with a synergy II blade imo is the best stick. I love the weight and balance as well

fatwabbit 93 Report post Posted August 11, 2007 I've got a z bub (int) and I paired it with a TPS blade. Super light, and I dont have to put much effort into the shot. Just let the flex do the work for you.

I've never used a tapered shaft and I wonder how much different it would feel from my aforementioned shaft/blade combo i currently use.
Chadd 916 Report post Posted August 11, 2007 Z-bub was an attempt to get tapered shaft performance from a standard shaft. The shaft tapers a bit before flaring out to accept standard blades. In fact, I believe you can put a tapered blade into the shaft if it were to break right above the flare. I'm sure Vapor could elaborate on that though. ;) Is it the same as a tapered shaft? No, but the concept behind it was a good one at the time.
Patrick67 1 Report post Posted August 11, 2007 I had a broken z-bubble (green version) with a taper blade in it down in my basement.... Broke just above the flare, and was a perfect fit for taper blades.Alas the stick was way too short, bubbles are only 48' to begin with, so I decided to flip it and both a long-hoseled Bauer Endure blade in it.
