GPS Systems

Looking for some first hand advice on GPS Systems. I've heard Garmin is the way to go. Anyone have any experience with these units? What model do you have and what do you like/dislike?

I work at a sporting goods store that sell these and from what I have heard customers say and other employees, Garmin is the way to go. The Nuvi's they offer are very nice units. That is the way I would go if I was going to get a new one. You should take a look at them.

I have one of the older Garmin 2610's (touch screen, remote, and voice navigation) and it is fantastic. Aside from trying to navigate newer areas of a town, it is great. I love it so much that I ordered another mount to mount it on the handlebars of my motorcycle for extended touring.

Love the Garmins. Played around with all the others ones while we were shopping for one, Garmin was the easiest to use and easiest to read on the screen IMO, there was less clutter and it was laid out nice and simple.

Wound up with the Garmin c330...it's a realllly outstanding buy for under $240. The c340 is an outstanding value right now too with the traffic-ready feature and voice street commands too for under $290. We didn't need all that so we got the 330 instead.

Garmin eTrek Vista CX. Love the unit very useful on the trail and in the car. Car navigation is adequate when plugging in directions but not visible enough to be a auto unit only. Never drop signal when on trail. If you have the cash go for the 60CSx with SiRF antenna

Thanks for the advice guys. I picked up a c330 at an unbelievable price. I don't need the bluetooth/ MP3 or anything but a GPS. Haven't used it but 15 mins, so far its great.
