Thinking of picking up a pair of these for my son. How do they compare to xix's?

I notice the steel looks different. They claim to be LS2, but the xix LS2 looks different (not as 'deep'). Are they the same?

Thanks.

Welcome to the board.

This post is in the wrong section - if it is hockey equipment-related, it goes in Ice Hockey Equipment.

To answer your question - they are a step below XIX. XIX's direct replacement is XXV.

Could be wrong, but don't the XIX's have LS1's?

Anyways, I have a pair of XXII's myself, so far no complants in the month I've had them, for the price you get a good skate. They're no XXXX's but, I mean they have a couple less features, a little heavier, and not as stiff of a boot. In my opinion though, if they fit him well, you can't get a better skate for the price.

Nope. LS2's were introduced with the 8090's (I think), a year before the XXX and XIX were introduced.

i was wondering about the steel too. why is it written super stainless steel while the top end skates just says ls2 on the side of the blade?
