For fun, check out the Hockey Life store in the Vaughan Mills mall. It's in Vaughan which is less than a half hour from North York, but it is absolutely huge. They must have the largest selection of stuff on display in Toronto. You could spend all day just trying stuff on.

Hockey Life is just crazy. So much on display. I was there last week when they had their grand opening, Ponikarovsky was there takin pics, Al Iafrate was there to demo some Warrior stuff, etc.

Nice deal on NBH prostock sticks, all different kinds of One90's and XXX Lites, $130 CDN. That was the only sale going on.

Weird thing was, I didn't see any NBH 4 Roll gloves........

Yes but is it really easy to shop there or does it just look good??

Wont argue it looks good but almost every store around has similar deals!

Actully no. When I was there, a bunch of barely 20 year olds standing around complaining they didn't know what to do. Yikes.

And there were no deals, just the boatload of NBH prostock sticks. Everything else was on par with everywhere else around the city.

Well I work for the compatition so i cant really bash them.

I just found it "to big" if that could happen and yes i agree about the younger staff. Although I think most are younger than 20.

Now thats not always bad as long as they know the game. :D

I found the store nearly ideal for how I like to shop. They carry about everything, everything is on display, full range of sizes for most models, all within easy reach (except for maybe the pants, but that's true for most stores). You can try stuff on without having to wait for a salesperson, and can take as much time as you want going back and forth between, say, two pairs of shoulder pads. Prices were competitive. That place makes it really easy to impulse buy. Spacious.

Contrast this to most hockey stores which are much more limited in the products they stock and the sizes they have, and where half the glove display is beyond reach. I bet most hockey stores in the GTA carry fewer than half the number of types of shin or elbow pads I saw.

The only area I really need help is in the skate section, and I didn't talk to their staff there so have no idea if they were knowledgeable or not.
