Which skates for me?

i need some help deciding which skates to purchase. i know it's best to go off how it feels, but i need some recommendation as to which i should try, because when i get to the LHS i don't know which ones to try.

here's the profile..

i wear a size 14.5 shoe.

my current skates are size 10.5 and a EE width. they're the bauer vapor lite model with Custom+ Tuuk holders.

i play A Midget, and play defence, so decent foot protection is a must.

I actually really liked the Vapor Lites and wish that I could find a newer version in a size that fits. Did NBH release a skate that comes close to this is terms of fit?

Does anyone else with a similar foot profile have any recommendations as to which I should look into?

I've only ever worn Nike and Bauer skates with the exception of one pair of Mission Fly's.

The stock holder doesn't matter as I'm more than likely switching to t`blades this winter.

How much you got to spend?

I mentioned a sweet set of Bauers on ebay in the "Good Deal" but they are a size mix 10E and 11E.(Not my auction, some store in Boston)

Go to your LHS and try on every skate. Pick the one that fits best (not by brand) and problem solved.

If you really have to, put a blindfold on to eliminate the bias.
