New RbK Skates hit the shops?

Hallo.

I was just about buying the RbK 9K skates, but then pictures of the new RbK skates got out.

So now I can't decide if I should wait to the new model, or just get the old one.

So does anyone have any idea when they will hit the shops, a month, next year?

I use that term loosely, I'm thinking as in will it be a narrow or wider fit, esp in the mid to toe area

I haven't heard anything about the fit yet. It's still too early. I saw the pictures as soon as everyone else on here did (maybe would have been sooner if my rep wasn't "asleep" all the time).

The NHL players are just starting to test them out so there may be numerous changes before they hit retail. Speculating now wouldn't make much sense. I enjoy seeing a new piece of gear as much as anyone else here but the problem with a site like this is that you find out about things so much earlier than intended so the wait seems much longer. But by all means, if you need a pair of skates now then get some now. There is ALWAYS something new on the horizon. And by the time it gets here there is already something newer. You'll drive yourself nuts trying to keep up.

Is there going to be a RBK non-pump skate on the high end, like the 8k? Or is the 4k the best were gonna get? Just curious, I really like the 8k's I have, if and when they need to be replaced I would like something similar.
