Im looking for a good, Durable pair of skates.

Recommended Posts

Hello, i am currently looking for a Pair of Skates, that are Equal to or under 180$ C.A.D. I am running low on the dough, and need a pair of skates quick before the Season Starts.

I was thinking Synergy 700, or CCM V4.0 SE. I need opinions people.

Thanks.

if you're digging the vectors, you should be able to find last years's 6.0's being cleared out for less than 180, too. I got mine locally for 125, including baking and the 1st sharpening. If they fit your feet, I think they're a great deal at that price and you should be able to find them for close to that

Try to find used or closeout. You'll get a better skate for the same or less.

I bought closeout Vector 6.5 SMU for $160 US over a year ago, but I needed 11.5 E and had slim pickin's.

Well, see, i have Vectors now, but theyre Worn out like crazy.

Ive been looking for closeout alot, but havent found anything amusing, and all my LHS has for skates are Top-of-the-line One90s and whatever else. All the used skates are too small. I CAN buy with Credit Card so if you see any good prices on the net, i am open to all suggestions.

Tell us a little bit more, like level of play, ice time, any pain in the previous pair, etc? You should mostly try on them and see if you find a pair of skates that fit well and is a little expenssive get that pair of skates! You'll most likely enjoy it more then a skate that don't fit and does not perform well on the ice.

Keep in mind the newer Vectors are much less stiff than the originals. Same with the newer RBKs. The old 4K was way stiffer than the new Spiderman 4k.

What size do you need?

You like the vectors you have and want another pair?

Well, no. My size is 7.5 i think. My Skates i have now are too Stiff, and are worn and the Steel is all cracked from Dropping them a couple times. But i do like Vectors, not the ones i have in particular though.

@Shifter, my level of play is the Lowest level possible, as i play Hockey just for fun, our Time is balanced, and theres no pain in my skate, exept for being too stiff. I may take a journey into town soon to try on some skates, and maybe i might like some of those Source For Sports SMUs. I dunno, i just want suggestions on what to get thats the best Bang for my Buck.
