Jason Harris 31 Report post Posted October 13, 2007 It's possible that having to go against Hilary Clinton is preventing him from running.I have no idea how close he and Bill Clinton are, but it would probably create a fissure in their relationship, since he'd have to explain why his policies would be better than hers; in other words, he'd have to shoot holes through her ideas. If that happened, he could probably count on Bill never helping him again politically, and there's no doubt that Bill's name still has a lot of cachet in the Democratic Party. joelnmich 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2007 No way does Al run...Doesn't need to for his legacy. He's saint al now to his cult-like following, only thing a run for president would do is provide an opportunity for him to be knocked down.
Edge 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2007 I hate to go off-topic, but, speaking of canidates, is Stephen Colbert really considering running? The guy is absolutely hilarious, but i just don't know if I can picture him in such a serious role.

ronnychencharik 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2007 He's just ripping off Robin Williams. Colbert does have a little OHL coverage with the Saginaw Spirit thing he does, but i think Jon Stewart has a funnier show.
killthepoodle 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2007 Pssh....an award for science? Science is a joke. I *believe* that global warming isn't real.....and that means more than easily refutable studies and such. What a waste.

They've lost the bubble on advancing "peace" with someone who advances a issue in terribly divisive ways. Here's a trivia question...what was Nobel famous for? joelnmich 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2007 Yeah, forgot yall weren't too young...the kids nowdays don't seem to get all of the story in political issues.Nobel invented dynamite....which was said to be so destructive and cause horrific injuries that all wars would cease. One of the first cases of peace through superior firepower as a cause celebre' in the pundit class.Mutually assured destruction was another, more recent, version of same theory. sabre09923 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2007 I don't understand what global warming has to do with peace. If anything this new "awareness" has spread more unrest throughout this country, and many others.I'm more worried about the stripping of our freedoms in the name of security, 1984 style, than the repercussions of global warming. With this failing war and a shadowy enemy, the lawmakers have already shown that they can take away our rights for the "safety" of everyone else. But that's an entirely different topic altogether...And Edge, Colbert wouldn't make a very good president. Sure, he's hilarious, but we really don't know what he'd do in office, due to the nature of his show personality (bush clone), besides eradicate bears.
