Skate Conversion

Recommended Posts

Ok, stupid question from a noob here. I love the feel of my Roller Hockey Skates as opposed to what I'm using on the Ice now just to skate around every week. Since we have the cold weather coming, and Inline isn't appealing anymore, is it possible to convert inline's to ice? I'm not looking to play in them, just skate around at open skates in my area a few times a week. Thanks for wasting your time :-)

Well, it wouldn't be my cup of tea, but have you seen just how crappy the skates are that people skate in at recreational skating ?

If you can skate in those soft snow boot looking things, then you could certainly skate in converted roller boot...my only question is WHY?!?!?!?!?!!?!?

You could ask JR...I assume you probably could, but I'm guessing the 6k is a roller boot designation, but I'm not sure what the construction of the boot is or if it can be drilled for blade holders. Maybe it is identical to the 7K..who knows?

I'd seriously just pickup a pair of cheap skates. It's not worth the hassle of buying holders and paying someone to make the swap AND hoping that they get done right.
