League management websites/software?

Recommended Posts

Can you guys out there suggest a good league management software?

Like Pointstreak or Power Play Sports? Are there any other good ones out there? Looking for suggestions AND reviews. Either from the players/coach perspective of the league/tournament staff themselves. Stats, schedules, team info, etc.

Thanks!

Our league uses pointstreak and it's nice as long as they actually put the information into the system. It doesn't help that one of our rinks has a broken terminal and they have to enter those games manually.

I hope resurrecting this post thread from the dead is okay.

Now that it is two years later, and the market is a bit flooded with these systems. What is everyone's choice on this? RSportz seems to have a nice look to it and have been bending over backwards for the AIHL. I'm currently using Sportability and am looking to go somewhere else for my new facility.

I'd also be up for running my own thing, but haven't found anything that is suited for the task.

I currently keep the stats and standings for our league and I have a pile of old score sheets from previous years. So I am looking for something to create a setup kind of like Hockeydb.com where career stats and standings can be looked up. I'm currently just using Excell for the yearly stats. I'm looking at pointstreak and just the web based entry but they don't list how much it is. Anyone have any pricing info for PS? Or if you have any other site options or hints and techniques with how to do it in excell would be awesome. Of course, cheaper is always better...but easier is a factor too.

If you're going to do it, use an Access database instead of Excel. It gives you much more flexibility and if you have any technical aptitude, it doesn't take long to learn the basics.

I'm not sure if this will apply to you or not. Our league is around 200 players and few months back one of the guys designed the site for the rink. In my opinion the stats that are available are sufficient for the level of play and can be easily maintained.
