Did anyone else notice this? If you look at the Ottawa line, they have two number sevens. Found it kind've...strange.

Yeah. Although, I do remember either a year or two ago, Spezza had to wear someone elses Jersey, or the team had to buy one (doubt it, probably stole it :P ) from the store at the rink for some odd reason.

My beer league team through mixed jerseys had 3 number 5s and 2 number 9s until one 5 moved away this summer. Last week 9 assisted 9 and the ref said 9 unassisted. One of the guys said it was assisted by number 9. The ref was like yeah right but your still only getting one point.

If I remember correctly his jersey was torn almost in half during the game so he wore the jersey of a player who was scratched for that game (I want to say it was Eaves, but I'm not sure) for several shifts.

I remember that game. If I remember right, he got in a scuffle and the jersey tore almost all the way down on one of the sides? A seam must have given way, because it was a clean tear along the whole length of the jersey.

Did they let Spezza do that? Theo Fleury wasn't allowed to use a fans jersey after the refs said he couldn't play in his because there was blood all over it.

I guess I meant that did they continue to let him play with a different jersey. I thought the reason that Fleury couldn't use the jersey was that it wasn't an official one. I don't really remember, though, and the fight strap sounds like a better reason.
