Easton S9 Elbow pads

Recommended Posts

I just purchased a new pair of S9 elbow pads and read the following on the description...

"Heat moldable elbow cap using Zero Shock™ technology allows for customized fit"

How do you mold this exactly? Is it like skates where you need to bake them? What sort of baking process do I need?

it didn't come with instructions? ask the place you bought them from. i bet there is a missing tag that was supposed to be with your pads that includes instructions.

did you figure to ask your LHS ?

not everyone has a lhs

I just got the S9's as well and like you, I didn't notice anything about them being heat moldable until after I had already been wearing them for a couple weeks.

I am curious as to how to go about molding them as well.

I must say that even without the heat molding, their fit is awesome. They felt restrictive the first time I wore them but from every time after that I completely forget I am wearing them.

<_< In case you didn't notice Im from Australia, we have only one supposed LHS here in Melbourne and those guys only know what the local Easton rep tells them about gear which is sweet F all. I walk into the shop and they ask me questions about gear.

I bought them off Ebay 2 days ago, they havn't arrived yet and Im only going off the info that was in the sale for these. I checked it was correct with an online store to make sure it wasn't one of those "skate weighs 100 grams!" kinda statements.

I'm not sure if putting them in an oven is the right thing to do...and it doesn't seem to me like it would need alot of heat either so maybe just use a hair dryer on the hottest setting and warm up the moldable area?

I wouldn't even bother. I'm pretty sure you've broken into your elbows.
