Womens' skate sizes

Recommended Posts

My wife is currently wearing my 6.5 Mega 10-90s, but I have fallen in love with them all over again and want them back. She only skates with us at open skate.

If she is a women's 9, would she fit in a Mission L1 Jr size 5E skate? I am not sure how these Missions are shoe size wide, but I know the Megas are big on her.

Thanks.

Used this when I was shopping for my girlfriends skates, she wears a size 7 shoe and we ended up picking up some size 5.5 Bauers.

Nope, go down two sizes from her shoe to get her men's shoe size. From there, go down another 1 to 1.5 to get a skate size. I wear a 7.5 shoe and a 3.5 skate. A size 9 shoe will be in about a 5.5

It really depends on her foot and how she likes to wear her skate.

I wear an increadibly small skate where I know one girl on my team has a size 8 foot and wears a size 7 skate...

If the skate-maker's Brannock isn't labeled for women, just measure and drop 1.5 like forbes said. You may need to go back up .5 size, but that's a fit & feel thing.

The real problem is that women's feet just aren't shaped like men's. You'll need to play around a good bit.

Fortunately, my wife fits a 6.5D Daoust perfectly. :) Bless those brand-new factory seconds...
