killthepoodle 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2007 I broke a lace my first skate on my 40's......replaced it with a regular white lace, but I like the stock bauer ones better. My LHS says they cant order them from Bauer.....any ideas?
Ogie Oglethorpe 14 Report post Posted November 1, 2007 Yes, the metal tipped laces are nice. You could call Bauer customer service or troll Play it Again sports for some cheap skates where the laces are still in decent shape....
Gummer12 134 Report post Posted November 1, 2007 He's not talking about the metal tipped ones... They were just around for one season. They kept getting caught under skate blades and coming off during games posing a risk to the players. He's talking about the gray laces. My suggestion would be to troll ebay, or find someone who Doesn't like them and buy/trade them, otherwise get used to the white ones
Ogie Oglethorpe 14 Report post Posted November 1, 2007 Ah.... my bad. I did like the metal tipped laces, though. But, I do see the point of possible risk.
gjknorr 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2007 I may be able to get some, a friend of mine didn't like them and replaced them the second time he was on the skates, I will get in contact with him to see if he still has them, I will get back to you either way
