Cobra 5000 on Ultra G5's..

Hello

I have a new pair of Ultra G5's and they have the Ultra 5000 blade. I had a

pair of G5's previously with Tuuk custom+ on them (these were stolen)arghhh. I am having a terrible time adjusting with the pitch (forward lean) on these. Can I place a lift in the front part of each skate to save the $100 for the tuuks (and the hassle)any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, that's doable; but you're going to have to pay for labor (probably around $30 or so) and possibly the lift. If you were to buy/order the Custom+ holders through your shop, they would likely throw them on at no extra charge.

if you got the tuuks, wouldn't you just be back to what your old setup was? Thus you would have the skate your used to, and no need to change the pitch=no use for a heel/toe lift.

That's right. Both the G5 and the G5 Ultra boots have the same pitch. The pitch of the Cobra holder is what is throwing you off. You can either stay with the Cobra holders and have lifts put on your skates, or you can make the swap for Custom+ holders.

Personally, I would switch back to TUUKs, but that's just me.
