Men's League

Recommended Posts

hey guys, I'm starting a men's league tomorrow and I just wanted to hear some opinions on what the play is like..the league im in is the second most competitive league. I'm trying to get back in shape for college tryouts. I've been a travel player for 7 years but i want to know how rough it is out there even though it says no hitting.

Even within a league or team it can be different depending on what your trying to get out of it, and your level of intensity/physical style of play.

It also depends on the refs and how much they let go. If they do their job and make fair calls, the game can usually police itself. If they're just collecting donut dollars and don't give a rip, then it may be a hackfest.

I say... start with the cage. Don't second guess your own safety. If you think you'll be better off in the visor, by all means, switch. But, don't make that assessment till you get there my friend.

EDIT: spelling

It's impossible to know without being familiar with the league itself. Like Chadd said, it varies from rink to rink, league to league.

If you are apprehensive at all, use your cage.

That, or the guy who sticks you in the face because he falls down and his stick goes up...

Good times
