My visor cut my lip

I was playing hockey last night and a guy hit me from behind into the boards. He got his hands high on the back of my head and pushed my helmet forward dislodging it and as my head hit the glass the visor came down and cut my lip. It was not a hard hit but it was unnecessary. I was bleeding a bit and my tooth hurts a bit too.

From now on I'm going to have my helmet on tighter and maybe even look into buying a cage. I had a presentation in class today and people were looking at me funny. Anyways, this was my first injury and I just wanted to let everyone be aware of something like this since I don't think it's talked about often.

I have a 8k helmet/ Itech HS22 half visor combo.

damn, i just put a visor on my helmet but havent used it in a game yet..how loose do you wear your helmet?

It wasn't even that loose to be honest. It was on comfortably with little movement if I shook my head around. The guy pushed my head from behind and it knocked it off.

Its just what can happen when you wear a visor! I mean surely you must have reliesed that your bottom half of your face is exposed and the visor is hard and can hurt you? If you've decided that wearing a visor is better than a cage, you have to take the down side that you can get more facial injuries while wearing it over a cage. Be thankful you didn't get a puck in the face!
