I have one, I got it from a friend of a friend within the Penguins organization.

From what he has told me, there is such a demand for these sticks that there really are none that are sold to any LHS.

Um....I really wouldnt say that, I think the price they charge for CUSTOM wooden blades is VERY fair. Now, getting a custom composite blade, that is an entirely different story, you have to shell out the big bucks for that one.

I'm not sure if his woodie blades are tapered

But I did email Sherwood so we'll see if I can get some

I've been told that crosby tends to use his sticks and blades until they break, this is the main reason for them being soo hard to find.

they arent tapered...theyre standard.

not necesarily, but if a player discards a stick is still usable, you would bet that somebody is gonna want to turn a profit off of that.

Sorry, don´t want to hijack this thread but I thought it´s not worth a new one either. so:

Has anyone ever seen any of the Spezza SOP´s floating around? I´d like to try such a curve on a woody but custom is not an option for me right now. I once saw a pro spezza online but it was some made Bauer with xxx-Lite paintjob I think and it was 150$.

Sherwood got back to me and said they cannot sell his curves because he is under contract with RBK, yet he uses an RBK shaft and sherwood blade still

could u ask them to make them but simply put a reference number on instead of his name? or even put them down as your name?

did u ask for crosby's blade or did u ask for a clone....i'm sure there's a way around it, whether it be by the name stamped on the stick, asking for a clone rather than crosby's curve, etc...

Ya, I dont see any reason why they cant sell you clones of his curve to your specs. If you already have one of his curves, send it in, get it cloned. Easy.

correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't think he has a blade to clone...he just wants blades with the same curve as crosby, but SWD said they can't b/c he's signed with RBK...mega bummer and bs imo
